Frequently Asked Questions

Are reservations required?
We ask that you make reservations to ensure availability and for the tour guide to know how many people to expect. We try to keep the tours under 30 people per guide, anything over that is too large of a group and it makes hearing the guide difficult. We do offer private tours of any size with multiple tour guides.

Where can tickets be purchased?
Your reservation is held with a credit card at the time of booking. You can either leave the reservation on your credit card or pay the guide cash at the time of the tour.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, cash, and for private group tours we accept checks.

What if it rains? Will the tour be cancelled?
The tour is conducted rain or shine, unless it is severe weather with lightening and thunder. We do cancel the tour if it snows. If that happens, everyone will be called regarding the cancellation.

Is the tour appropriate for children?
Yes, the tour is appropriate for most ages. We do many school group tours each year and all stories are appropriate for ages 8 and up. Of course we have had 6 year old children on the tour and it did not faze them, whereas the 40 year old parents went home and had nightmares; each person is different.

Do you offer tours for large groups?
Yes, we are the only ghost tour in Boston that can accommodate groups of all sizes. Our largest group was for 180 people. The tour was divided into 6 groups of 30 people each. We have excellent tour guides that can handle any situation. We also are able to help arrange bus parking for large groups.

Are the tour times listed the only times available?
Private group tours can be scheduled at any time.

Is the tour wheelchair and stroller accessible?
Yes, it is, however there is one hill that has a slight incline.

What are the terms and conditions?
The tour is all walking, involves walking on uneven streets and sidewalks, up hills or inclines, as well as crossing streets with car and pedestrian traffic. Haunted Boston Ghost Tours, LLC and staff
are not responsible for injury or damage (directly or indirectly)
sustained to people or property in connection with the tour.

Does the tour end at the same starting location?
No, we start the tour at the Central Burying Ground Cemetery in the Boston Common, but the tour ends at the Omni Parker Hotel.
